PowerBox for Commercial & Industrial Sites

Wheeled, industrial-grade LiFePO4 power for the places fixed wiring can't reach — construction sites, telecom towers, mines, emergency repair and remote O&M. No grid tie-in, no electrician, no permit. Just roll it in and plug in.

Built for Where the Work Is

PowerBox turns any site, tower or temporary camp into a powered workspace in minutes — no trenching, no switchgear, no fuel run.

Construction sites

Run site lighting, power tools, compressors and the site office off a silent, fume-free unit. No diesel noise complaint, no exhaust in enclosed spaces.

Telecom & cell towers

Backup and off-grid power for remote BTS, fiber nodes and comms shelters. Charges from the grid, a solar array or a generator at the site.

Mining & exploration

Power camps, survey gear, lighting and comms in exploration and small mining operations where the grid stops.

Emergency & disaster repair

First-in power for utility crews, rescue teams and field hospitals — roll it off the truck and plug in life-safety and comms loads.

Remote O&M & field service

Keep diagnostics, testing and comms running during maintenance at substations, plants and remote assets far from a socket.

Events & agriculture

Temporary power for outdoor events, irrigation pumps, fencing and seasonal agriculture — moved and re-deployed as the job moves.

Portable vs Fixed C&I Storage

PowerBox and a fixed cabinet solve different problems. Most commercial buyers end up with both.

Rule of thumb: if the load moves or is temporary, PowerBox wins on speed and cost. If it is a permanent base load, size a fixed C&I system — and keep a PowerBox as the rapid-deploy backup. See our Commercial & Industrial BESS line.

Why Crews Choose It

Four things a diesel set or a fixed bank can't do at once.

Multi-source charging

Recharges from a wall socket, a solar array or a generator — keep a remote job powered through a multi-day outage with no fuel run.

Wheeled & rugged

Roll it to the work, up a floor, across a site. No skid, no crane, no permanent footprint.

Air-cooled, quiet

≤75 dB(A) and fume-free — safe inside a site office, workshop or tent where a generator cannot run.

Safe & certified

LiFePO4 chemistry, -25°C to +50°C operation, and CE / UN38.3 / UL / IEC for export.

Under the Lid: PowerBox Engineering

What the spec sheet doesn't say — the build details crews and OEM buyers ask about.

Every PowerBox runs a 314 Ah LiFePO4 (LFP) pack watched by a multi-layer BMS — over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, short-circuit, over-temperature and passive cell-balancing protection, with CAN / RS485 reporting for fleet and OEM telemetry. It charges three ways: AC wall input (a full ~5–7 h recharge on the 16 kWh unit), an MPPT solar input sized for panel arrays, and generator pass-through so a running genset tops it up while loads draw. The 1,500 W pure-sine inverter drives both tools and sensitive electronics. The sealed, air-cooled enclosure is rated for -25°C to +50°C operation at ≤75 dB(A) fan noise, and is rated ≥3,000 cycles at 80% DoD with low self-consumption so a stored unit holds charge between deployments. For white-label programs we expose the BMS protocol and can re-enclose or re-rate the pack to your market.

Built by a 40-Year Manufacturer

PowerBox ships from the same lines and QC benches as our fixed BESS — incoming-cell testing, formation and graded assembly.

One hard rule we state plainly: a portable unit powers appliances through its own outlets only and must never be back-fed into a building's distribution panel — that is unsafe and, in most regions, illegal. For whole-site backup you need a fixed, properly commissioned system. Confirm the exact marks and any regional variants with our team for your target market.

Frequently Asked

What is PowerBox used for in commercial and industrial settings?

PowerBox is the wheeled, industrial-grade portable power station NovaBESS builds for sites where fixed wiring is impractical: construction, telecom and cell towers, mining and exploration camps, emergency and disaster repair, remote O&M and field service, and temporary power for events or agriculture. It delivers 4.02 / 8.04 / 16.08 kWh from its own outlets — no electrician, no permit, no grid tie-in.

Can PowerBox replace a diesel generator on a work site?

For most temporary and sensitive loads, yes. It is silent (≤75 dB(A)), fume-free and indoor-safe, so it runs inside a site office, workshop or tent where a diesel generator cannot. It will not match a generator for days-long, whole-site prime power, but for tools, lighting, comms, pumps and backup it removes fuel, noise and exhaust entirely.

How long does a 16 kWh PowerBox run typical site tools?

The 16.08 kWh unit (1,500 W continuous) runs a mixed site load — LED site lighting, a drill/driver rotation, a laptop bank and a small pump — for a full shift or more, and recharges from a wall socket, solar array or generator. The 4.02 and 8.04 kWh units cover lighter or shorter duty. Because it charges from three sources, a multi-day job stays powered without a fuel run.

Can we private-label PowerBox under our own brand?

Yes. PowerBox is offered as a proven white-label model through our OEM / ODM program — your logo, label and packaging, with minimal engineering overhead for fast market entry. We also support custom variants (capacity, enclosure, BMS, protocol). See the OEM / ODM page for the 7-step cooperation process.

Is PowerBox safe to use indoors and on a work site?

Yes. It uses LiFePO4 cells, runs air-cooled at ≤75 dB(A), and operates from -25°C to +50°C. It carries CE, UN38.3, UL and IEC. One hard rule: a portable unit powers appliances through its own outlets only and must never be back-fed into a building's distribution panel — unsafe and, in most regions, illegal. For whole-site backup you need a fixed, properly commissioned system.
